Privacy Notice
Last updated: February 2026We keep this short because we think you should actually read it. We collect very little data, we don't sell it, and we use it only to let you know when Quite is ready — when samples are available and when we launch. That's it.
Quite is a hot chocolate brand based in the United Kingdom, currently in pre-launch. Our website is quitechocolate.com.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the data controller for the personal information you provide to us.
If you have any questions about how we handle your data, contact us at: [email protected]
When you sign up for early access on our website, we collect:
- Your first name
- Your email address
- Your chocolate preference (32%, 52%, or 72% cacao) — optional
We collect this information so we can:
- Notify you when samples become available
- Notify you when we launch
- Offer you an early access discount
- Understand which products people are most interested in
If you request a sample when we announce availability, we'll ask for your postal address at that point — separately and only then. We don't collect addresses at signup.
Your information is stored securely in Mailchimp, our email marketing platform. Mailchimp is based in the United States and is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which means your data is protected to a standard equivalent to UK law.
You can read Mailchimp's privacy policy at mailchimp.com/legal/privacy.
We do not store your personal data anywhere else, and we do not use any other third-party tools that process your data.
- We do not sell your data to anyone, ever
- We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes
- We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling
- We do not send you emails unrelated to Quite
We keep your information for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we will delete your personal data within 30 days.
If we don't launch within 24 months of you signing up, we'll delete all pre-launch subscriber data and notify you before doing so.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate data
- Request that we delete your data
- Withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the ICO at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Our website does not currently use cookies for tracking or analytics. The Google Fonts service we use to load our typefaces may set a cookie — you can read Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
If we add analytics or any other cookie-based tools in future, we'll update this notice and ask for your consent.
If we make any material changes to how we handle your data, we'll update this page and notify our mailing list by email. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
